DepressionDepression is one of the most serious and costly of all mental disorders, in terms of suffering, lost earnings, and the sheer cost of treatment.

Unfortunately depression is increasing and this is due to 2 main factors:

  1. 1  The prime causes of depression, stress and lifestyle issues, are increasing at a rapid rate.  People are tolerating lifestyles which are basically inhumane, too fast-paced, too pressured, too little family and community support, and no time for activities which nurture and support wellbeing.  The resulting depression can occur simply because of lifestyle, or as a reaction to some trauma or tragedy which is simply too much to bear.

  2. 2  Most treatment for depression, despite the high cost, isn't very helpful.  Studies clearly show that people tend to get better in spite of treatment rather than because of treatment, meanwhile wasting time and money, and being exposed to medication risks.  We know from many studies that most treatments either don't have any real benefit, or if they do have benefits, those benefits break down very quickly once the treatment is over and the person tends to become depressed all over again.

This is NOT to say that depression can't be cured.  It certainly can, and usually very quickly and easily provided an effective treatment program is used.  We proved this in clinical trial in 2000, eliminating depression in our trial group in just 6 days.  At 6 month follow up, without further treatment, the cure rate had grown to over 98%.  This is a method that not only eliminates depression, but helps to ensure that you are very unlikely to become depressed again.  I'll explain more about this method below.

Meanwhile you'll find some very helpful resources for depression on this site:  a depression report which talks in detail about causes of depression and what you can do about those, and a video on depression treatment including an example of a quick method for gaining relief without medication.  Both of these are free for our free members and Gold Members alike.

Also on this site in the "Shop", you'll find an excellent book on depression called "Relieving Depression:  Quickly, Easily and Safely", and I highly recommend that to you.

Finally, run, don't walk, to www.RealHelpforDepression.com and sign up for the free video series on depression.  You'll be able to view these and then ask questions and I promise you'll find the entire experience an eye-opener!
